Some of the features this app can offer include the ability to book appointments online check your symptoms and order repeat medication, all without coming in or calling the surgery. All you need is any smart phone, (you will need a photo I.D to sign up).

In addition, we have an online access form that gives patients further access to view medical history and to check test results.

Who is it suitable for?

The NHS App is for people aged 13 and over who are registered with a connected GP surgery.
You can use some of the app’s features without your GP surgery being connected.

With the NHS App you can:

  • Check your symptoms – find reliable NHS information on hundreds of conditions and treatments, and get immediate advice
  • Book appointments – search for, book and cancel appointments at your GP surgery
  • Order repeat prescriptions – see your available medications and request a new repeat prescription
  • View your medical record – get secure access to your GP medical record (to access this part of the app a form needs to be completed in surgery)

Patient Access

Our systems connect to popular online access apps. Once you have registered these enable you to book appointments, order medication and view your medical record online from a mobile phone or PC device. To Access this you need to come into surgery with Photo I.D and complete a form.

Shortly we will be launching eConsult which takes you through an NHS approved question and answer session online. This asks about your symptoms, and how long you have had them etc.

econsult - Coming Soon

The system may recommend self-treatment by visiting a pharmacy, or contacting the emergency services or 111 for potentially serious matters. In most cases however it will send us a summary of your information and this will be reviewed by a GP who will possibly call you to discuss and advise, perhaps authorise further medication, or ask our reception team to book an appointment for you if necessary.

This is a great way to get health advice from your GP without the stress of making an appointment.
