Order Repeat Prescriptions

General Information on Obtaining Prescription Medication

The easiest way for you to process a request for medication and for us to process it is via a request made via Patient Access, NHS App  (you will need to register for this service if you have not already done so) or emailing the practice and for you to nominate a pharmacy to receive your prescriptions electronically (via EPS – the electronic prescription service).

If your doctor has decided you can have prescriptions on repeat this will be authorised without you having to be seen. These are computerised and full details will be given to patients as needed you will still need to request your medication when needed. We regret we cannot accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions.

If your medication request is routine you can use our online medication request form here, this will be actioned in 3-5 working days (excluding bank holidays and weekends) and you can also make any queries on this form.

If your medication request is urgent, and you have none left you can use our online urgent medication request form here.

Prescription collection processing times
Please note that it takes five full-working days to process your prescription – This applies to orders directly from the surgery through online ordering, email or requests handed directly into reception. If the repeat is handled via a Pharmacy then you will need to liaise with your nominated Pharmacy. Please note that the Pharmacy will need time to dispense your prescription even when sent straight there.

Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays are not considered as working days and your request will be processed on the next working day.

PLEASE ASK FOR YOUR PRESCRIPTION 10 DAYS BEFORE YOU ARE DUE TO RUN OUT.
