Accessibility

At The Cambridge Practice, we want to make sure you can access our services easily. In accordance with NHS Accessible Information Standard (AIS). (Link opens in a new browser tab). If you have a disability, impairment or sensory loss, we can add a Reasonable Adjustment Digital Flag to your medical record.

This tells our staff exactly how to support you. For example, we can:

  • Provide information in Easy Read, Braille or Large Print.
  • Arrange for a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter for your appointments.
  • Offer longer appointment slots or a quiet waiting area.
  • Communicate via text or email instead of phone calls.

How to request an adjustment:

1. During Registration: Use our Register with a GP Service > which includes a section for communication needs. (Links opens in a new browser tab).
2. Current Patients: Complete our online 'Communication Needs' form (please see below), or contact us via email or phone.
3. NHS App: You can also view and manage your contact preferences directly in the NHS App. (Link opens in a new browser tab).

How can we help you communicate?

Use this form to let us know if you have a disability, impairment, or sensory loss that affects how you receive and understand information from the surgery. We will add a 'Digital Flag' to your record to ensure our staff meet your needs.
